Tamara Freeland
Owner, So Fetch VT

Hello! I’m Tamara — a native Vermonter with 13+ years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all sizes and breeds.

My journey began in 2012 when I joined the rescue community and started fostering. Two years later, I co-founded a local non-profit rescue and volunteered there for six years. In that time, I fostered more than 80 dogs — and adopted three of them myself.

Before launching So Fetch VT, I spent 15 years in sales and marketing for a global consulting firm. In 2020, I transitioned to remote work and realized I could finally merge my professional background with my lifelong love of dogs.

I completed the My Dog Camp program in 2020 and officially went full-time with So Fetch in 2021. Helping dogs for a living has always been the dream — now it’s my everyday reality.

My handling approach is rooted in both experience and continued education. I’ve completed workshops in remote collar training, balanced obedience, dog behavior, and large-field socialization. I believe in using modern, humane, balanced techniques to meet each dog right where they’re at — and help them grow from there.
When I’m not out adventuring with dogs, you’ll find me exploring with my husband Corey and our own small pack.
